I just came back from Pittsburgh, I setup at the Steelcity Con and had a blast. Thanks to everyone who came out to see me at this comic con! I've recently been hard at work, doing paintings for my next fairy art book...it should be out by late summer. Here's some of what I've been working on:

Well, I think I've recovered from a really fun weekend at Wicked Faire. Thanks to all of you that came out to see me! The next couple of shows that I setup at are going to be SCA events, I'll post those in the next couple of days.
So I took down my ebay store yesterday, in hopes of moving the web store presence to here instead. I'm still going to keep doing Ebay auctions. I'm also trying to finish up my website by this Friday, that means all the coding, and all the new pages for my webstore...so wish me luck! Then after that, I would like to make a print on demand service for artwork merchandise, like cards, magnets, buttons, t-shirts, mousepads etc. Because usual print on demand services that offer merchandise are so expensive, and when it comes down to it, I can still make a tidey profit, and make it a little bit more inexpensive for artists.

And also what I'm trying to do, is make this a virtual art gallery advertising other artists. For a small fee (like $5 or $10 a month) an artist will be able to upload things to this site and have their artwork advertised on Project Wonderful (along with some other advertising services) getting them more exposure, and offering them a discount in the print on demand services. And after a while (I'm looking at about a year), I'd be able to buy a color copier and book binding machine so I would be able to offer printing up books as well. Then after another year of having the color copier, I want to make Avalon Enterprises into an actual publishing company. Or that's my business plan anyways...and yes, don't worry I'm still going to be producing my fantasy artwork in this time period. :)
So, yeah, this is what I've been up to...alot of creative thinking and planning.

So right now I got most of the website done...I just need to move my Avalon new age items over to here, and put them up for sale on this website, instead of on Ebay...but since I have a really big show to do this weekend I'm putting a hold on that till next week. So until then you can go to my Ebay store at Avalon's Ebay Store. And also, I'll post lots of new artwork both for sale a commission examples.

So I've also been thinking about making a print on demand service, and a virtual art gallery for other artists. But more on that next week....heh heh.

Okay so I'm done with the coding on all the pages (I think) and I'm now working on getting a shopping cart through paypal, and putting a store on here instead of on Ebay and Etsy. And also I'm working on putting a form under the contact me page so that you can email me from this site instead of just seeing an email there, which you have to cut and paste (I know that's such a pain). I'm hoping to get this all finished (along with the two commissions I'm working on at the same time) done by Wicked Faire on the 20-22 of this month. Wish me luck!

Hey I've been fooling around with the look of the website yet again. I have not finished doing all the coding for all the pages yet on this site, so some of them might look the same as the old Home page. Also I'm going to be adding new merchandise, and you'll be able to purchase items and artwork through this site, instead of on Ebay or Etsy. (Although I'm still keeping both E-stores, for now.) Eventually I'd like to do away with these e-stores, and have everything right here on my site...it's defiantly a goal.

And in less the two weeks, I'm going to be at Jeff Mack's Wicked Faire!! I'm setup as a vendor and because of all the buzz on ning.wickedfaire it should be a blast! So, yes, I'm getting ready for that, making magnets, and artwork necklaces, and I just got a shipment in of new age stuff to sell, and I got to finish painting my jewelry displays. (that my very sweet boyfriend made for me...I don't know what I'd do without him!)

I just drew up my tentative show schedule for this year, so I'll be putting that up soon...I'm going to be doing a lot of SCA Events this year, so I can't wait!

Hey, it's my birthday today, and I thought to celebrate it I would put up a video blog on YouTube talking about all the nifty stuff thats going on in my life, but alas I can't figure how to upload it from my camera to my computer....my computer keeps giving me error messages. So instead I'm going to tell you here.

First off, I finally published my art book!! It's called Dreams and Desires, and it's 32 pages of my full color artwork. I'm so excited, to finally have something like this out. It's going to sell for $10 here on my website and over at Ebay and Etsy! Also in the back on the book there's an advertisement for my latest project Skulls and Black Lace, which should be out very soon, around February.

I've been doing more art work of course:

I had a gallery opening last month at Just Around the Corner Art Gallery. My artwork, including my matted originals, framed prints, regular prints, handmade jewelry and my art books are all on exhibition at the art gallery, so if your in the neighborhood please stop in. Just Around the Corner Art Gallery is at 5A N. Bank St. Easton, PA.

I'm going to be updating my Shows and Cons page soon. Right now what I have scheduled is Wicked Faire in Whippany, NJ on Feb. 20-22. I setup there last year and had a blast, so I'm doing it again. If you go to www.wickedfaire.com tickets have gone on sale for this great event.

And last but not least, please check out my Ebay store and my Etsy store for some really great deals on handmade stuff, and new age items. These would make great gifts for Christmas!

I just finished putting up a forum for this website...so please go check it out, by clicking on the *NEW* forum button on the left hand side on the screen.....go ahead, you know you want to....

So I've been really busy drawing and painting commissions, and I realized the other day that since I moved in to my new place, that my scanner no longer works. Unfornately it was only working half the time, and I'd always have to fiddle with it to make it work...and now finally it has died. I need a new scanner,(especially since I was planning on drawing up a webcomic really soon) so I'm putting lots of hand painted items, and artwork on the auction block in hopes that I can buy a new scanner and pay some bills. Well, I started to put up a new look about the website...I like this a lot better, and it matches my Myspace page. So over the next day or so I should be adding a whole bunch of new artwork, along with an Originals, and a Prints section, with sections for my handmade jewelry, leather goods, hand painted Witches Boxes and Book of Shadows covers. I'm going to start offering Cafe-Press items, especially T-Shirts and Hoodies, and mugs.

Also, I'm going to be updating my Shows and Cons page again. I've got alot coming up for the summer. Including the Totally Normal Event which is in two weeks on Saturday the 28th of June at the Hanover Marriott in Whippany, New Jersey. Hey, I'm going to be updating my Shows and Cons Scheldule, and updating my galleries with new artwork that is on my Myspace blog right now. I'm also trying some new advertising, so this site gets more traffic...which is badly needed.

Also I'm going to be updating my links page, because I have met so many great artistic friends doing the con circuit, and I want to give them credit!

And If I get some free time anytime soon, I'll be redesigning this site.

And over the next couple of weeks I'm going to be redesigning my website....yet again. I'm getting bored with this style, and I think its time for a change. I'm thinking something spooky victorian....check back in a couple of weeks.
April 21st, 2007 I've done more artwork for my up coming book, and also this art will be for sale at Pittsburgh next weekend. The first image that I painted was done painstakingly in watercolors, and measures 16" x 20".

The other two I will put up on here tomorrow when I get the chance.

I have an online store!!

Right now there's a bunch of prints that are up there, and soon,(very soon like tomorrow) I'm going to be putting up what's left over of my Originals. And from now on, I'm going to be putting up originals on Ebay once, and if they don't sell, then I will put them up on Etsy in my store.

As of late I've been working on my illustrated novel entitled "Skulls & Black Lace" (copyright Sherrie Spencer 2007), and that's coming along nicely, although I don't see it being done by the Pittsburgh show, which I was really hoping for. So instead I'm going to be writing and illustrating my own children's book called "Ashes the Cat Lost in FairyLand" (copyright me, same as above)so I can hopefully try to sell that to publishers at the pitts show. Wish me luck!!

Well, it looks like its been a long time since I updated. I have since finished the children's book that I was working on, and am now working on my own illustrated novel. I'm also going to start working on a second children's book, in the next couple of days. In the mean time I'm also preparing for MegaCon and the start of Con season. I posted the conventions and shows that I'm going to be at (hopefully)this year, just click on the Shows & Cons button, and it's also on my myspace profile too.

Also I have done two portraits, one of Jack Sparrow and one of The Crow.


I also, changed the pictures of myself on the about me page. Enjoy!

Well, I'm back from New Orleans. I went down there to donate art to a charity auction that was for the Habitat for Humanity Charity to help out the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The charity auction was held at the Lestat Vampire Ball which was on Friday night, so of course I donated a piece that I had done specially for the auction of Louis, Lestat and Claudia, you can click on the thumbnail at the left to see the full pic. This piece made $80 for the charity.

While I was at the Vampire Ball, I met with one of my fans and had done a piece of artwork for him too of Voltaire, in which he wanted the artwork so he could get Voltaire to sign it. Also within the the last couple of weeks I have done some other artwork too along with the children's book paintings (which I will post here, eventally), so you can click on the thumbnails below to see what I've been up to.

Sept. 2006

Well, right now the big news is this brand new website. I've been without a site for so long, and using myspace as a substitute, it's finally nice to have a piece of virtual realstate once again. In the next couple of days I plan on finishing this, so I can get back to my real work on my children's book. In which I do plan on posting all the paintings here in the near future, once I get permission from the authors. (I just keep forgeting to ask every time they call.)

I know I still have alot to do here, but in the absence of a website I've kind of grown a bit fond of Myspace(even though it's evil, I can't seem to stay away from it) so I'm going to keep my Myspace account and of coarse link this website to that and vice-versa.
